You’re Invited to Large Group!

We’d like to invite you to join us at large group this semester!  All three of these events are part of our weekly Large Group meetings which are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Gaines Theater (located in the Freeman Center on the campus of CNU.)

1) 2/21 Student Testimony Night.

We will hear from 4 students “testifying” to the work of God in their lives. These will not be the typical testimony of how they became Christians, but testimony about how the Lord has been growing them in the past few years. You often hear second-hand from us about the fruit the Lord is producing in our midst, this would be a wonderful and rare opportunity for you to hear about it firsthand and rejoice in the work that God is doing in our midst.

2) 3/21. Special Guest: Dr. Andreas Kostenberger of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

We are delighted to invite you to what will otherwise be an ordinary Large Group meeting of fellowship, worship, and teaching. But this week we have the privilege of hearing from a renowned scholar as he shares with us the basic message of one of his recent books, “Excellence,” as it would apply to our fellowship. He will primarily focus on the idea that settling for mediocrity in our vocations (family, work, etc..) is not from the Lord, and will cast some vision for what ‘excellent’ spirituality is.

3) 3/28. Special Guest: Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr.

(This event has not yet been confirmed, but we will let you know as soon as it is!)

We hope to have R.C. speak on the topic of one of his books, “Tearing Down Strongholds,” wherein he graciously but firmly demonstrates the futility and incoherence of all non-Christian worldviews, and points us to God and his Gospel as the only thing that makes sense of the world we live in.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support, and we hope these invitations find you well.
