Here are a few ways you can pray for us in the summer months:
1. Praise God for his fruitful work in the lives of our students!
Here are a few snippets from social media where the students are voicing their own thanks for God’s work through IV.
2. Pray for a fresh wind of energy as we look for new ministry parters this summer.
As we celebrate our 10th year on staff with IV, we’re looking for new ministry partners.
In the next 2 weeks, we’re seeking to raise $5000 by June 30 to end our fiscal year in the black.
In the next year, we’re looking for alumni, families, & churches who care about the CNU campus and want to support IV’s thriving ministry. As we look around campus, the buildings have changed, but students’ need for the Gospel remains the same. Will you help us prepare for another decade of ministry here?
Would you prayerfully consider giving to our ministry?
Your one-time gift in June would help us end our fiscal year well.
Your monthly gift of $25, $50, or $100 starting in July would help us increase our campus hours and our salary.
3. Pray for our family’s work-rest balance during the summer months.
Eric is continuing to do DJ & Lighting work with Surf & Sound Events to supplement our income. Praise God for providing work in this way while we wait to be fully funded through IV. You can view a wedding he just DJ’d on CNU’s campus on Katelyn James’s photography blog – there are lots of alumni in these pictures!
We’ve been enjoying some great family time so far at local events like Harborfest and parks like Busch Gardens. Julian is 4 1/2 and loves being outdoors. He is always up for adventure, and is still head-over-heels about everything Star Wars.
I (Beth) have been enjoying cooking homemade meals from all the fresh fruits & veggies I get from The Farm Table deliveries. I’ve also been able to attend weekly exercise classes at the gym thanks to our lighter summer schedule.
My latest venture is becoming a Jamberry Nails Independent Consultant! I fell in love with the products in the last year and pray that I can use this business to benefit both our family and the CNU IV chapter. I’ll be hosting several online parties on Facebook in the coming months as fundraisers for student scholarships. Half of the funds I receive from nail wraps purchased through my website in June & July will go straight to our student scholarship account – helping students get to important fall events like leadership retreat and Urbana!

Lastly, we are still journeying with the migraine pain, and honestly need your prayers as we sometimes struggle with feeling hopeless and “stuck”. Please pray that we would “fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith” (Heb. 12:22) and trust the promises of the Scriptures knowing “we have this hope as an anchor for our souls” (Heb. 6:19).
As always, thank you for your faithful prayer support!
